The challenge

A logistics company ran its daily operations across spreadsheets, chat groups and an old desktop system. Dispatchers re-typed orders, drivers called in for updates, and partners had no visibility at all. Every new client meant more people doing manual coordination — and more room for mistakes.

What we built

  1. A web platform for operations: orders, dispatching, fleet and partner management in one place, with roles for each team.
  2. A mobile app for drivers and field staff: tasks, routes, proof of delivery with photos and signatures, and an offline mode for areas with poor coverage.
  3. A partner portal and API, so clients and carriers create orders and track them on their own.
  4. Integrations with the accounting system, vehicle telematics and SMS notifications.
  5. Live dashboards for operations managers: workload, delays and exceptions.

How we did it

In discovery, we spent time with dispatchers and drivers to see how the work actually happened. Key flows were prototyped and tested with field staff before development started.

  • Two-week sprints with a demo for the operations team every time
  • Migration one depot at a time, with the old system running in parallel until each cut-over
  • Data migration rehearsed before every switch

The outcome

  • One source of truth for orders, people and partners
  • Less manual coordination — status updates flow from the field automatically
  • Partners serve themselves instead of calling for updates
  • A platform the client’s own team now extends
